BNZ app security
The BNZ app comes with an extra layer of security that keeps your data safe, and lets us know it’s really you doing your banking.
The first time you use the BNZ app you’ll need to enter secure codes we send via text message and email. This step creates a secure token on your device and is how we confirm it’s you.
You’ll only have to enter the secure codes once. After that, you can log in using either your password, 5-digit PIN, Touch ID, Face ID, or Fingerprint login. The app automatically authenticates when you log in on your device.
You’ll also be set up to use your BNZ app to authenticate in Internet Banking.
How to set up the BNZ app
You’ll first need to be registered for Internet Banking to use the BNZ app. You can download the app from the App store (Apple devices) or Google Play store (Android devices).

Using multiple devices
You can set up the personal BNZ app on four devices at a time, and you can set up the BNZ business app on two devices.
Lost or stolen mobile devices
Call us immediately on 0800 999 269 (or +64 4 494 7153 if you’re overseas) so we can deactivate your BNZ app. You can also deactivate a lost or stolen device from another device you have set up. Go to Manage Devices, under Settings in the BNZ app.
