Mobile Touch ID, Fingerprint Login and Face ID
If you have our Mobile Business Banking app for iPhone or AndroidTM, you can log in to compatible devices using your fingerprint or facial recognition.
Touch ID and Fingerprint login
Touch ID (Apple) and Fingerprint Login (Android) are fingerprint recognition technologies that make it quicker for you to get in to your device and harder for others to log in without your permission.
Setting up Mobile Touch ID or Fingerprint Login
To set up Mobile Touch ID or Fingerprint Login:
- Make sure your device is set up for Touch ID. To find out how to do this, visit Apple’s website or check with your Android device’s manufacturer
- Check you have the ‘Mobile PIN and/or fingerprint login’ permission enabled in the Permissions area in Internet Banking for Business. Your Administrator can do this if necessary.
- Make sure you have the latest BNZ Mobile Business Banking app.
- On your device, log in to the app and select ‘Settings’ in the menu.
- Switch on ‘Touch ID login’ (iPhones) or ‘Fingerprint Login’ (Android) and follow the screen instructions.
The next time you log in to Mobile Business Banking, you’ll be prompted to use your fingerprint to log in. If you select ‘Cancel’ you’ll be taken to the password or PIN screen to log in.
Security
It’s important you don’t allow other people to access your mobile device by using Touch ID, Fingerprint Login or the device password.
When you enable Touch ID or Fingerprint Login for Mobile Business Banking, any fingerprint used to unlock your mobile device will also be able to access your accounts, make payments and issue instructions to us. We treat these as if they were authorised by you.
Face ID
Face ID on iPhone X uses a facial recognition technology to make it quicker for you to get in to your device and harder for others to log in without your permission.
Setting up Face ID login
To set up Face ID Login:
- Make sure your device is set up for Face ID. To find out how to do this, visit Apple’s website.
- Check you have the ‘Mobile PIN and/or fingerprint login’ permission enabled in the Permissions area in Internet Banking for Business. Your Administrator can do this if necessary.
- Make sure you have the latest BNZ Mobile Business Banking app on your device, log in to the app and select ‘Settings’ in the Menu.
- Switch on ‘Face ID login’.
The next time you log in to Mobile Business Banking, you’ll be prompted to use your Face ID to log in. You will have to allow BNZ Mobile Business app permission to use Face ID to log in. If you select ‘Cancel’ you’ll be taken to the password or PIN screen to log in.
