Cash transaction report
The Cash transaction report gives you detailed information about the physical cash (notes and coins), cheque and foreign currency (FX) portion of transactions in the selected account. It also contains reference information, including how the money was deposited or withdrawn and where the transaction was processed.
Cash and cheque portions
The report shows you how much of the total transaction amount was cash and how much was cheque.
FX portion
The report shows you the FX portion of each transaction, if applicable.
If there are multiple currencies, for example a deposit with 3 different currencies, you will see the following fields repeated for each currency:
- FX transaction reference
- FX DR/CR
- FX amount
- FX currency
- FX exchange rate.
Reading the Cash transaction report
Each row displays the data for a single transaction.
Report columns explained
Account
The account number you selected for the report.
Transaction date
The date BNZ processed or posted the transaction.
CR/DR
Shows whether the transaction is a credit or a debit.
Transaction reference number
A unique number assigned to this transaction. Quote this if you need to talk to us about the transaction.
Location
The name of the BNZ branch where the transaction was processed. You can find the full street address of that branch on our Branch and ATM finder page.
Mode of transaction
How the money was deposited or withdrawn, for example teller (TLR) or ATM.
Particulars, Code, Reference
These fields show the transaction information available in your statement.
Total amount
Total transaction amount.
Currency
Currency code of the Total amount.
Cash amount
Total of the cash portion of the transaction.
Currency code
Currency code of the cash portion of the transaction.
Cheque amount
Total of the cheque portion of the transaction.
Currency code
Currency code of the cheque portion of the transaction.
FX transaction reference
A unique number assigned to the FX portion of this transaction. Quote this if you need to talk to us about the FX transaction.
FX DR/CR
Indicates if the FX portion of the transaction is a credit or a debit.
FX amount
Total of the FX portion of the transaction.
FX currency code
Currency code of the FX portion of the transaction.
FX exchange rate
The rate used to convert the FX portion of the transaction into the NZD equivalent amount.
