How to use mobile authentication

You’ll need to set up the BNZ Mobile Business Banking app first, so you can use mobile authentication. It works with your user ID, access number and password to provide an extra layer of security, commonly referred to as two-step authentication, to your Internet Banking for Business on desktop.

You can use it anytime authentication is required; most commonly when you log in.

Setting up the BNZ Mobile Business Banking app

  1. Download the BNZ Mobile Business Banking app on Google Play for Android, or the App Store for iOS.
  2. Open the app and follow the instructions to activate the app on your mobile device.
    • You’ll need a valid mobile phone number entered in your Internet Banking for Business settings, and access to your email address.

Setting up user access

Site Administrators can set the type of access a user has for the BNZ Mobile Business Banking app within the Administration tab in Internet Banking for Business. This means customers can be restricted to using the app for authentication only. You can do this by following the steps under Restricting access to Mobile Business Banking.
